SolAgra® Water Solution

RELIABLE, RENEWABLE, RESPONSIBLE WATER INFRASTRUCTURE;
SOLAR POWERED DESALINATION TO SOLVE THE CALIFORNIA WATER CRISIS.
SOLAGRA® WATER SOLUTION VIDEO
These videos outline our proposal for a water conveyance system in the California Delta that is drought proof, cost effective, environmentally friendly and preserves Delta communities.

The SolAgra® Water Solution (SWS) is a more economic, efficient and eco-friendly water solution than the "Delta Conveyance Plan" (DCP), the "California Water Fix" (CWF), or any other one tunnel conveyence proposals currently proposed for water infrastructure in the State of California.

Unlike the other one tunnel proposals to divert massive volumes of Sacramento River water before it flows into the Delta; the SWS would allow river water to flow completely through the Delta, returning river flow patterns to pre-1960 levels – prior to State Water Project and Central Valley Project water diversion began to benefit the Central Valley and southern California.

The SWS will significantly benefit all Californians, the environment and fish populations by allowing river water from the San Joaquin and Sacramento rivers to flow completely thru the Delta, and by ADDING an additional 1 Million acre-feet of water each year to the San Francisco Bay Delta Estuary. Highly efficient brackish water desalination will generate 1 Million Acre-feet of NEW, PURE, DROUGHTPROOF water each year to California’s delicate water balance and eco-structure.

Our proposed desalination and pumping facility on Sherman Island capable of pumping 2.4 million acre-feet/ year of fresh water per year will be powered by green energy from renewable sources, including a nearby SolAgra® Solar Power Plant.

SWS will be powered by 100% renewable energy.

California WaterFix Plots a Dangerous Path
The current proposed tunnel path for the CWF goes right through California's largest natural gas field. In this video a survivor from a tunnel explosion warns against the current plan. Chris Nuedeck, one of SolAgra's consulting engineers was interviewed in this news story as well.

SolAgra's® SWS offers a much safer tunnel path.

Project Update

SolAgra® submitted its comment letter to the Bay Delta Conservation Plan EIR/EIS draft. Environmental law requires that feasible alternatives be studied for projects of this size.  Under the new name - the CWF, SolAgra® resubmitted our SWS proposal. In spring of 2019 the state officially rescinded its petition for the CWF water diversion permit and will be studying a one tunnel solution, now the DCP. The SWS is the best and most feasible one tunnel alternative to the CWF and we are confident that upon studying our plan officials will realize that it is more economic, effective and eco-friendly. SolAgra® is currently in talks with the CA Department of Water Resources and many politicians.

SolAgra’s® joint venture partner IDE-Technologies, is a world leader in water treatment and desalination.  Their participation is key to the development of the SolAgra® Water Solution.

IT’S NOT ENOUGH FOR OPPONENTS OF BYPASSING THE DELTA TO SIMPLY OPPOSE IT.

TO DEFEAT THIS PROJECT, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT A BETTER PROPOSAL BE PROVIDED AND SUPPORTED.

SOLAGRA® HAS THIS BETTER PROPOSAL.  WE ENLIST YOUR SUPPORT.
