​SolAgra Farming® Prototype

​Construction on SolAgra’s® first project featuring the SolAgra Solar Platform® is set slated to begin in 2018. The prototype will be a 144kw system, using SunPower solar panels, the SunPower Helix Tracker and the SolAgra Solar Platform®.

Project site is located in Rio Vista CA at Paul Graham Drilling Company (PGD). Power sales from the prototype will be purchased by PGD and PGD will be the steel fabricator for the prototype and the Ryer Island Demonstration Project.

Farming at the Prototype

There will be an area of approximately 9,000 ft. 2  growing crops at the prototype. We will be growing Alfalfa, Sorghum and rangeland grass. Each crop will get 3,000 ft. 2 . This will be the first site to use the SolAgra Farming® technology, so we will be testing the system and the crops at the site. However the demonstration project is where more intensive testing will be conducted.
